Water left in a leaf or powder changes shelf life and weight. We measure it before a lot is cleared.

A quiet check that the plant we named is the plant in the sample — colour and identity, not a guess.

Ash and residue after heat. A way to see what should not have been in the crop.

Controlled drying so a sample is ready for the next reading, not rushed on a tray.
